My wife's mother and father used to walk by a Mercedes dealer in Berlin Germany when they were teenagers after WWII. One day he made her a promise that he would be able to buy her a new Mercedes when she turned 50. He kept his promise and with both of them 90 now here it is for sale.
They moved to the US in 1958 and in 1981 he ordered this 380 SEL from R & H Motors in Owings Mills MD via European delivery. It's in great shape, always garage kept with 193k miles and was always serviced by a certified Mercedes mechanic. Just installed all new tires, new battery and had it detailed. Also included is the confirmation of order for European delivery and original invoice. It was $39612.00 new. He is asking $8500. Thanks for looking, Rod.
