In the 1960's Mercedes Benz were exploring the possibility of a mid-engined two-seater sports car and designers Giorgio Battistella and Paul Bracq created a coupe with pop-up headlights and low headline.
Some views show that the design incorporated gull-wing doors.
Unfortunately the car never progressed beyond a mock-up/prototype and was not fitted with an engine.
